Our specialty instructors at Robin Hood are not professional coaches-they are extremely talented high school and collegiate athletes who understand that the Robin Hood experience is about becoming a better person, a better friend, and a better athlete. We have worked hard to create a culture in which our campers can feel comfortable participating in both activities that they know and activities that might be new to them. Campers that are more interested in less competitive athletics will find it easy to engage and participate in activities all around camp. For the team-oriented, athletic-minded camper, we offer inter-camp athletics in all sports at a variety of age levels. AthleticsĪt Camp Robin Hood, we pride ourselves on our ability to provide positive experiences for campers of diverse athletic interests, needs, and abilities. We also work with campers looking for extra practice time in our team sports programs.
This is particularly common for campers interested in more specialized or individual activities such as riding or gymnastics. That said, if a child has a strong interest in a particular sport or activity, we will regularly allow them to substitute one activity period for another. We believe it’s important for all of our campers to develop new skills and interests over the course of the summer. These are designed for more advanced or specific instruction and are held weekly. Campers may also choose an intensive which can be athletic or non-athletic. Three of these are elective periods where campers participate in activities they’ve chosen for themselves two periods are non-elective periods, which are activities such as team sports clinics and instructional swimming lessons that the whole group participates in together. His passion is preaching and evangelizing, and he loves to put a smile on someone’s face.A typical day at Camp Robin involves five distinct Activity Periods.
He is a country boy at heart but still walks around in skinny jeans (not the cowboy kind). His love for Jesus and people are evident. Pastor Brian is one of the most outgoing and energetic people that you will ever meet. Katie Melei is still awaiting their arrival to China so she can be adopted into her forever home. They have 4 children: Graysen, Emma Rae, Blake, and Katie Melei. He is married to his beautiful wife, Kristen. Pastor Brian the senior pastor at Seven Cities Church. He also received his Masters of Arts in Theological Studies. Brian has degrees in Nursing, as well as Biblical Studies. Since then, he has made it his mission to share the Good News about Jesus. That same year, Brian heard God’s call into ministry. In fact, it was at a party in 2010 that God called him out of a purposeless life and into the life that Jesus truly desired for him. He grew up in the church but didn’t live a life devoted to Jesus. Pastor Brian grew up in a small town in North Carolina.
